You will get answers to these questions by watching Salaam Venky. This is not such a film that there will be noise of whistles and applause in the theatre, there will be noise but inside you and you will definitely hear this noise by going to the theatre.

Story

This story is about a boy named kolavennu venkatesh who has a disease called DMD i.e. Duchenne muscular dystrophy. This is a rare disease which occurs to very few people in the world and there is no cure for it. In this the death of the patient is certain and he has to go through a lot of pain. Venky wants to donate his organs and for this wants to resort to euthanasia. At first his mother does not agree to this but then the mother has to accept the insistence of the son as well, but this is illegal. Now how does a mother fight to change the law. This is the story of this film and this story is based on a real story. After the death of a boy named Venkatesh from this disease in 2004, there was a lot of debate on Euthanasia.

Acting

Kajol has done a wonderful job in the role of mother. Kajol has shown how a mother demands death for her own son through this character. We have seen Kajol more in a flirtatious character, but here a different Kajol is seen and she wins your heart. Vishal Jethwa's acting in Venky's character is tremendous, he makes you cry and laugh a lot with his style. It looks amazing when he speaks film dialogues while lying on the bed. Vishal is the life of this film. Rajeev Khandelwal is in the role of a doctor and is frozen. Aahana Kumra has become a journalist and she also impresses a lot. Rahul Bose's work in the role of a lawyer is also good. Prakash Raj has also done a good job in the role of a judge.

Direction

The film has been directed by Revathi and her direction is amazing. The way Revathi has woven emotions, she has been completely successful in making you emotional. The music of the film is very good and moves the pace of the story in a very good way. Mithun has done a wonderful job in the music department.

This is a different kind of film. It is not a masala film but such films should be watched because good cinema will be seen.
