Maidaan Box Office Collection

Ajay Devgan's much-anticipated sports drama, 'Maidaan', hit the theaters amidst high anticipation, coinciding with Eid and facing off against Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's 'Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan'. The film, depicting the life of renowned football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, received praise from both critics and audiences alike. 

Notably, it garnered positive feedback on social media, with celebrities like Javed Akhtar commending Devgan's compelling performance. In terms of box office performance, 'Maidaan' opened with an estimated Rs 7.10 crore on its first day, as reported by Sacknilk's early trend report. While this marks a strong start, it falls short of surpassing Devgan's previous hit, 'Shaitan', which raked in Rs 15.21 crore on its opening day. 

Additionally, 'Maidaan' trailed behind 'Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan', which earned Rs 15.50 crore on its debut. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the film boasts a talented cast including Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh, with music composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman. Despite the initial figures, expectations are high for a weekend surge in box office earnings.
